20 and 40 week beginner barbering courses
Our 20 and 40 week beginner barbering courses are designed to take beginners down the path to a successful career as a professional barber. Learn all about hot towel shaves, classic men’s hair cutting, fading, long trims, styling, and how to work as a team, which is equally important as your skills with a pair of scissors.
3 and 5 day advanced barbering courses
The 3 and 5 days advanced barbering courses are created for professional barbers and stylists who are looking to improve their barbering work, learn the Schorem method and get re-inspired. Our 5 day course also covers basic photography, and ways to improve your social media presence, which are crucial skills in today’s competitive online world.
HOW WE WORK AT THE OLD SCHOOL BARBER ACADEMY
We strongly believe education should be available for everybody, regardless of gender identity, barbers, hairdressers or stylists. All hair aficionados will feel more than welcome at The Old School Barber Academy. Whichever course you choose, you can be assured of a caring staff of instructors, and a nurturing, respectful environment.
We are very proud of our experienced team of instructors and you’ll hear a lot of laughter in our academy, but we’re serious about your success. With a maximum student-teacher ratio of 1:5, our students receive plenty of one on one attention. IN WHAT LANGUAGES ARE OUR BARBERING COURSES?
Our barber training and demo’s are all in English. However, summaries in Dutch and German are always available if needed. If you speak neither of these languages, you can always bring your own translator or interpreter, and still follow along.
WHAT BARBER EQUIPMENT YOU NEED
Each of our courses specifically mention all of the equipment you will need to follow the barbering lessons. Luckily, most of these items are for sale at our school. This way, you don’t have to worry about sourcing all of the equipment beforehand in case you don’t have it yet. The only thing we do not sell is a voltage adapter. In the Netherlands, the voltage is 220 volts. Please be aware of this if you’re coming from a country with a different voltage.
HOW MUCH DOES A BARBER COURSE COST?
The pricing of our barbering courses are specific to those courses. You can find the exact price of each barber course on its designated page. In addition, the costs of new equipment or your stay in a nearby hotel is not included. Please be aware of these potential additional costs.
